Chapter 1 - Opening Day

School has started... summer vacation ended, time surely is short last time i remembered. Hi, i'm Grace Angelson. I'm a high school student at the 12th grade. I've just got back from my grandmother's house for the summer vacation which was dull and boring... i got dragged along actually. My life... is just not that perfect. My parents are always arguing, i don't really have any friends, and well...

I entered the school corridors while holding my schoolbag watching people come by and go with smiles and their spirit... i kinda envy them really because i never been like that in my whole entire life. It's complicated. I stepped in the empty classroom and took a seat at the back of the class, waiting for the bell to ring. I turned my head around to the window, looked outside, and i just wished... wished that i could live a wonderful, happy life with my family and others... including myself. But a happy life is just a dream though, this world is cruel full of ordeals and things that can hurt one another. Yes, it's definitely impossible...

The bell rang, and i could hear loud footsteps just outside. The homeroom teacher came in, it was Mr. Daniel, "Whoopie!" not... He is one of the most hated teachers in the school. Last year the whole entire class TP'd his house... yet everyone's effort was a waste to make him quit teaching here.

Everyone came barging in, bullies, nerds, jocks, the cheerleaders... yeah it was kinda still the same. As for me... well i was those kind of person who would dissapear in the shadows, i really don't want to be noticed. Everyone sat and first period has started. Mr. Daniel started blabing about education and stuff while everybody just minding their own business. Then something happened... a new guy came in the class. He was tall, handsome, and was just... perfect! Mr. Daniel introduced to everyone. His name is William. Mr. Daniel ordered him to sit... right next to me! Oh, my... He started to get closer and closer, my heart is racing. What could this be? I never felt this excited before, ever. Could it be...

Chapter 2 - Just Friends?

He walked torwards me... oh! It feels like i'm gonna faint. He took the seat that was right next to me. English class started, and Mr. Daniel began the lesson but my head just couldn't look to the blackboard in front of me... my body just practically wants to turn around and look at the guy that was beside me. Suddenly my head got a bump, Mr. Daniel threw the blackboard eraser's right to me and said, "Grace... do i need to throw another eraser to get you paying attention?". And i just said "No...", simple as that.

3 hours later, the bell rang and class ended. This was the perfect chance to introduce myself to William... but still, it's no walk in a park. I'm nervous about it! People don't just walk by and say, "Hi i'm Grace would you like to be my friend?". But what choice do i have, really? Before you know it he's gone with the wind. I took my books and stepped outside the classroom, only to find William was surrounded by a pack of cheerleaders... really, what do these girl wants? They always get the good looking guys and leave the rest like thrash.

So... i left never even had the chance to introduce myself. I headed to my locker at the east side of the school, went to get myself some potato chips and books. While you know it, William... he was there standing right next to my locker! Is this coincidence? Or is it fate? I laughed at myself. I slowly approached my locker and tripped... i'm such a klutz. Then he ran torwards me, helping me out. "Are you okay?", asked him and of course i couldn't answer and stare into his eyes... snap out of it Grace! "I... i'm okay, haha...", said myself. I got up and finally was able to introduce myself to William, and i shaked his hands. That was an unforgettable moment.

As we are now, William just probably think of me as a friend. But oh well, the feeling that i had is just enough to make me smile.
