I did that with MGS3

I do this too sometimes... I'll get started on an RPG, then get about a third of the way through, get distracted by other things, and by the time I come back, I forget enough about where I was or what I was doing that I start over. Usually the second time I start it I play the whole way through.

I love restarting games. I like to wait a few years though. When I forget most of the game. It becomes new again. YEY FOR BAD MEMORIES!

I think there is a bit of a diffrence between restarting a game, and replaying a game.

Are we refering to stopping mid-game, or playing a game after it's completion?

Stopping mid-game and starting over. Only one or two games in that list of mine I actually finished once before.

Like this one run through of Final Fantasy Tactics. The battle where you start off fighting Weigraf 1 on 1. I didn't do much work on Ramza and worried too much on my other characters. Ramza couldn't stand up to him... and what's worse was it was a game save in mid dungeon... which means there's no going back to the world map to gain a few levels.

Kind of sucked...

I've restarted Dark Cloud 2 lots of times, and I try to replay FF7 once every 10 months or so. I considered replaying Okami, but the cutscenes are pretty annoying the second time around. I've played through Resident Evil 4 at least 8 times, And Wild Arms 3 more times than I can count. I love that feeling when you play a game from long ago, and have forgotten everything, like when I played the Phantasy Stars on the Sega Genesis collection.

I'm always playing games, so I never really have a chance to not play a game for a while, so I can't really relate with that.

I wish I could forget everything in a game. Unfortunately, games like Super Mario RPG and Mario Bros 3 are pretty much permanently ingrained in my head.

agreed... My most played RPG would have to be Chrono Trigger. And I know that the first few times I played through were the best. I guess that over time, it just gets old... no matter how much you like it.

Heh, I would love to have that feeling again like the first times I played though it.
