That saddens me... I'm a huge fan of the past two installments.

I would have killed to played a PS3 version. And seeing the change in battle system from 1 to 2, I will be very interested to see how it ends up.

Actually, PE2 was pretty conclusive... it's going to be strange to see how the bring back mitocondria and whatnot.
