So, about these so called 'custom sprites'....

Is there any limit to how many I can create? Does it save to the...the...system memory? (Had a brain fart.) Or does it save to scenario data?

It doesn't save to either.

Each sprite can take up from 1 to 2 blocks of memory. You can have them on a completely separate card if you want... it seems to be the most commonly use fashion.

But yeah, it's independent from Scenario and System data. The system data pulls it from the sprite card, or where ever you put them.

Sprites only take up one block each. Only monsters and title screens take up more. Monsters up to two blocks if it's an extra-large monster or a really complicated large monster, and title screens up to eight blocks also depending on complexity. A game can have up to nine custom sprites, 15 monsters (a full memory card's worth), and a single title screen.

For the Pav's garabge contest, I made some custom sprites for my game. One is a computer, another are spikes, and then some eyes and mouth.

I can make item sprites decent enough, but I can never seem to get a human sprite to work out.

Not too good at drawing people. I wonder if there are premade sprites...that would help tremenously.

no... you can't have more than one.

...ever.

Yeah, you can only set one title screen up in system data. It's the only one that shows when you activate a show title screen command.

Yes.

But you have to use the multiple system card trick. if you don't know what that trick is, I have a playable tutorial of it at the pavilion.

actually, I never thought of that... that would work.

Though I'm not really fond of forcing the player to reset the game to continue playing the game.

But if your game was big enough to require multi-system cards, that would work fine... you can have as many title screens as system memory cards.
