Anyone who's followed the weekly hardware sales in Japan recently should notice a HUGE increase in DS sales. That increase (which was expected) is thanks to the release of the Smash Bros.-like Jump Superstars and the new red DS, which were both released on August 8.

Sales for other consoles increased a bit as well, save for the GameCube and Xbox.

I still don't see the point of a DS. I guess it's an aquired taste not suitable for those without jobs.
