I totally broke the d/l meter though. And it was the same all three times I tried it.

Might be a bit unfair as I live less than 40 miles from the center of ATL. However it was still 8342 to Washington DC.

not toooo bad. i had this one speed test i posted ages ago and it was like 10,000MBps up and down or something ridiculous like that and NOBODY was impressed at all >____>

Dallis TX is a good 4+ hour drive, but yet is the closest place for me to ping. Oh and it seems no one really cares for the upload speeds now-a-days... What can you do, eh?

Upload speed is important for online gaming.

Yeah, it does suck, as getting T1 or SDSL is expensive as hell. I have Comcast High Speed, just if anyone was curious (the normal 6Mb/s one, not the 8Mb/s). And it does go down to around 3000 when going all the way across country, upload stays about the same oddly enough.

Wow cable is highly variable, 17820 d/l, 2390 u/l today. It's 7000 and 1300 across half the country (Chicago), and 3000 and 650 all the way across (Seattle).

So I guess this might have something to do with it.

quite a bit slower but not bad given that it's a LOT farther.. like download went in half but upload wasn't too much affected ^_^

Heh, at least I can hold on to my precious upload speeds. Though, 700 + isn't all THAT great. I've seen freakin 15 grand before. Rather insane if you ask me.
