Reguardless if you prefer or not, I'm back.

I finally finished all the SQL training last week and close to considering myself settled into my new house in El Dorado. I just have a couple of loose ends to tie up.

This also marks the point where SK is no longer my room mate. But with SOE:AA still in production, we will still be seeing quite a bit of each other. I am now living with one of the Radio Shack employees I keep speaking of. And if anything, getting to work in 10 minutes is so much better than taking an hour.

SK hasn't got the internet turned on at the old crib, but has access to the net via college campus... of which he spends alot of his day. So I'm sure he'll still be around. And even then, he'll be on whenever he's at my new house.

Anyway, I'm back... either lament, or welcome. The choise is yours.

Well you're lucky assignments typically equate to the value assigned. I believe the correct equation in most languages is

if (lantis.online == true){
forum.demeanor = "ecstatic";
}


Also too bad SQL isn't a programming language (though I'm sure Sumi knows at least one) . Of course really some would consider VB not to be either, but I digress. Though pretty soon I'll likely have a job doing some amount of .NET work so I guess I can't say too much about it, well except in my free time . Though it is nice I think it makes programming too easy (meaning most people don't look at what really happens behind the scenes and get lazy, etc).

^ yeah i thought of that but ended up using the single equals partly out of laziness and partly cus i couldn't remember but sort of remembered somethign about if statements being different but now acutally i'm just remembering and error box saying about assignment operators in the wrong spot thing... aug >_< it's been too long. *dies*

SQL is close enough. it's beauty.

Well until you try to write cross-compatible complex queries. Then it get's quite ugly. It's funny they have this big standard, and pretty much no one follows all of it, since it's too big.
