As my town has beena serious war zone, I made arrangement with two peace keeping force to help me and my son move out of the country, however we moved out of Sierra-Leone successfully, to Abidjan CÃƒÂ´te d?Ivoire where we are now. I have gone and conform the deposit with thecompany with all the documents all the documents are with me here.Now I wish to transfer these funds abroad and enterinto a business venture as the country (CÃƒÂ´te d?Ivoire) is no longer in peace since they conducted their Presidential election on the 22nd October 2004 the country has witness all sort of political unrestranging from ethnic clash which resulted to killing of innocent citizens and strangers people are living in fears as the country is no longer that peaceful nation as it was before due to this reason that I havedecided to contact you, to assist me to lift this my consignment out of this country. Spam back at their emails. One of those bastards imed me on yahoo messenger. I was chatting with my bro and all of a sudden some dumb ass guy im's me. For 30 mins he's trying to convince me he's legit and I would prove how fake he is. Well he sent me a fake chek, it was real at one point in time. This guy must've been a complete idiot, he used pait to change the numbers and copy the clear spot to hide it. Only a moron could do that, I showed him my fakes done with photoshop. The guy say's he is sorry for doing this and I say well don't worry about it, you'll have alot of complaints later.

... In all seriousness, Regal, you may want to consider trying to help.
Yes, it is quite likely someone just trying to trick you in some way or another, but, at the same time, it is always possible that it is really someone sincerely calling out for help. I wish I myself had a lot of real-world kind of sense to know how to determine for sure if you are being deceived or not in this sort of situation, but I don't. ... If you end up royally screwed, well, at least you will know that you did nothing wrong and that your heart was in the right place, even if it does mean that you are a bit guillable like me.

If this helps you any, I personally would say that quite likely Sumi has come to the right conclusion.

In the end, all you can do about this is simply what you think in your heart is right. That's what being a man is all about, after all.

I can't believe that you guys haven't heard all about these scams. They have been going on for ages!!

I have gotten them myself, about a dozen friends and co-workers have gotten them also.

My only advice is to educate yourselves by looking here:

But anyway. I'll agree with SK... It really doesn't matter if it's a scam or not. (Personally I think it is to an extreme degree) But, if you 1) believe it's legit and 2) seriously want to help... then more power to you.
