Yeah, Home Alone was really stupid, as in boorishly-monotone stupid.

But the worst game ever by far would be either Duck Hunt or Pit Fighter (I don't think anyone's ever even heard of Pit Fighter but me), with just about any Tetris game running a distant second.

(Lantis, I know at least YOU are sane enough to dislike Tetris, so back me up if the pro-Tetris hounds start barking at the top of their lungs!)

A Boy and his Blob is still the worst game I've ever played, as it was still the first game I thought of when I saw this topic pop up.

Consider yourself backed up. But I'm not much of a puzzle gamer in the first place. RPG puzzles are fine because they lead to a greater goal. Games like Tetris, on the other hand, are repeditive boring wastes of time with no long term goal but a high score... whooptie-freaking-do.

(I never spelled 'whoopie-freaking-do' before... what fun.)

Believe it or not, high scores used to be the big thing way back when. Now you're lucky if a game even has a score.

Sorry but I think doing something hard in a game is better rewarded by it's completion other than a numeric representation of how well a game thinks you did.

So, yeah... tetris still sucks... along with most of those popcap games like bejeweled and whatever.

Frogger for the PS1. I thouhgt I was going to engjoy son retrostyle gamming, but infortunatly I ended up banging my head against retrostyle difficulty. The next worst...I want to say Kingsley's Adventure, (PSX) but I've since beaten it and come to the conclusion that I realy isn't all that bad.

The worst game i can think of that i played was on an emulator. I think it was called "Castle of Dragon" The levels were all like 3 screens long (or about the average level size of a 2D fighting game) and at the end of each was a nigh impossible boss.

Some other grenades that Ive thrown my self on include such gaming "gems" as the PS2 remake of "Defender" and WWF Smackdown 2: Know your role (a real let down after playing the first one)

I think that there are allot of BAD games in retro gaming. The NES had hundreds of titles, but that is because every tom,dick and harry whith some coding "skill" *ahem-not-ahem* and a frikkin homebrew development kit thought that he could make a decent NES game.

This also goes for mercandising games. Sadly, most of these games were, and continue to be, terrible (with the exception of those based on comic books)

I feel sorry for my girfriend because she has not lered this concept yet. she seems to think that such games are good or "fun" because they have her favorite cartoon charater in them or have some connecton to a television show she likes. Case in point is a Doctor Who game she has. The thing is grapically all right, but it imploys the bang-your-head-agaist-the-wall-why-do-game-developers-do-this-I-thought-they-learned-their-lession-with/after-"E.T. the game" counter that not only is your time limmit but, (hey, guess what!) it's also your HEALTH METER. Now addmittedly, this is not such a bad thing, but when you considder that there are NO (nope not-a-one) health power ups anywhere in the entire game, then you come to realize that yeah. Only hard core fans will want this game/think its cool. I like Doctor Who, but the game mechanics are unforgivable.

Actually, I'll have to take up Hunter's side here. The best thing about RM3 was the graphics... and we all know graphics doesn't make games great.

I only spent 4 months of my life on that game. Pagerron loves that game. And there are about 20 different games on the mag for it. I don't think that all those people wasted there time making a "bad" game.
To be called the "worst game" Maybe to hellhunter. But you can't compare that game to like, Home alone or mupets lost in space.

But Tetris the worst game ever? That's a big no-no. It rules. And even if it does, it's many different clones do rock, like tetris attack.

Oh, and Kitty... I never ment to say that anyone's work in RM3 was bad. I mean the software. Just like how everyone seems to have Visual Basic here. Take TTC for example.... he hates VB, but I'm sure he would recognize a good program even if it was written in VB.

Being that I'm lacking the "nerd" chromazone, I really don't know much about VB. My husband would know more about that one. I feel. (Is the software for RPGmaker bad? Not really..) Can it be better? Hell yes. So I can agree half way on that. But again. Its not in my bones to call it. "worst game played" I have seen much worse games..

Even though the system only had like six games total behind it, you know something's gotta be a big mistake when every last one of them suck. Teleroboxer definitely made the list. In fact, on that thought, maybe I should retract my statement about Tetris being the second or third worst game ever and replace it with Teleroboxer.

Well shoot, I never played the Virtual Boy. I have always wanted to get one, but I either didn't have the money or I didn't have the situation to get one. Well, judging by what you say I'll think about getting one, rather than just buying one on first chance.
