I wasn't around for the first set of rules, but the amended ones do seem to be pretty broad. I agreed to them - but in all honesty you could be banned for saying about anything. Just depends on the moderator's own tastes and what he considers vulgar or obscene, so it's basically just signing an agreement that says you can get banned if the moderator wants to ban you. What i usually do is just be myself, and if the forum finds me offensive they can just boot me cause i'm no good at walking on eggshells and i had enough of that growing up with a control freak father.

Far as your right wing comment, i don't know why you think people who want to limit your speech would be right wing, since it's usually the left who is wanting to illegalize all speech it finds offensive. In fact, in california you could probably be tried for hate speech right now with that post you printed.
