I find it incredible that my school offers a Web Development class yet there is no course in flash offered at the school. It's all YAWN, HTML, YAWN and Dreamweaver... Yet all the good retail company sites have some type of flash intro to their page... can anyone suggest a good Macromedia FLASH for dummies site, program or tell me if a book like that even exists? Just sheer curiosity into the world of how stuff like that is done....

Download FlashMX and play with it... pretty much. ask questions if you don't understand something - adobe.com has forums.
http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flash/ - scroll down a bit, adobe always seems to have great documentation, I definitly like that. The first two documents in the list actually go over everything i did in my course.
