I ordered rpg maker 2 about a week ago, I fianly got it today only to find out that "DISK READ ERROR" pops up on the tv screen everytime i try to use it :shakefist :cry :shakefist :cry :shakefist :cry can anybody give me any suggestions as to what i should do about this. by the way its a factory sealed game never been opened

Try standing the PS2 vertically.

It works for me when that happens.

It is a problem with many older PS2s and "Blue Discs" (games on CD ROM, as opposed to DVD ROM).

Glad it worked!

Once it reads the disc you can lay it flat again if you like. The new PS2s come with a stand for vertical use, so it wont hurt anything (contrary to some rumors!).
