Okay, I have an event that has a character join my party. Its an invisable event at the gate of my town. The problem is, is that I'm not sopposed to see it until I talk to the character that is going to join my party. The event is sopposed to show up after I ask him to join, then when I go to the event we have a conversation and he joins me. But I can see the event before I even meet the character! Please help me!

You need three modes. Have the first mode blank, have the "talk to character" event change the invisible event's mode to the second mode. Then when everything's done, change the mode to the third, blank mode.
