He lives in Arizona, or near there. The sun practically lives there, unfortunately.

Yep, right out side Phoenix.

Here's a quick guide to how the gay marriage ruling will affect you.

But.... But... The kids will start thinking it's okay to be gay, so they will all turn gay!!!!!!!!

</sarcasm>

I'm glad that the gates have opened. It's still up to the states, but it's a start. Who's to say that gay people can't be happy?

Was that a play on words? I caught myself laughing at that line.
(you know, gay being another word for happy)

When did the term gay start applying to homosexuals and not happy people, anyway?

I'm taking my blue belt exam tonight. I'm going to be honest, this smug kid Noah really gets on my nerves, and after he tried every form of treachery last night during sparring, I'm tempted to just put him down again tonight and make him cry like the last time (it was an accident last time, though). And it's probably not even really his fault that he's such a know-it-all, unsportsmanly punk; his Dad's clearly way too critical of him, so he's got to put on a show of being the best in front of him.

But for some reason tae kwon do reminds me of a pain Lantis so helpfully caused me to experience with the backside of his car about ten years ago. He was off to get the pizza for our weekly "guy hangout" night, and as he ws pulling out of the driveway, he looked out his window and shouted an obscenity at me or something, so I pretended to come running down the driveway after him in revenge, whereupon he felt obligated to pretend to back up and run over me. Unfortunately, he ended up pushing the accelerator way too hard and I received my first and hopefully only automobile uppercut in life. Face went right into the back windshield, and I must have dashed my chin against the wipers, because I started bleeding pretty heavily.

Another guy in our circle, Adam, stayed behind to tend to me at the house while Lantis went on to grab the pizza. I feigned unconsciousness in the chair when he came back, and Adam played along, saying "Dude. He's been out cold ever since you and Josh left. We've used up half a roll of paper towels to stop the bleeding." And Lantis was all, "Oh, man, I feel so bad. Crap I hope he's going to be okay."

Now, Lantis'll probably try to act all cool when he sees this and deny that he fell for it and was fooled into being gravely concerned and feeling guilty, ... but I know. I heard it all. ^_^

It was such an embarrassing story, though, that when the girls at school the next day asked me how I got such an awful-looking scar, I quickly made up this more awesome-sounding story about how I got into this fight with three muggers the night before while walking home alone in the dark, and they were just wanting my pocket change for beer money. I put up a brave fight, but all three of them were bigger and managed to subdue me long enough to drag me over to their car and bash my face into the windshield. I fainted, and when I woke up alone on the side of the street, I found the money in my wallet was gone. So, it's like, "Wow, SK, you're so brave!" Only they never said that. ^_^

No, of course I wouldn't lie about such a thing just to impress the ladies with made-up heroism NOW, but I wasn't Sarah's Knight ten years ago; I was - *gasp* - Id!

According to good ol, trusty wikipedia: "The term's use as a reference to homosexuality may date as early as the late 19th century, but its use gradually increased in the 20th century."

Anyways, I have only 3 days of classes left here in Indiana. I'll be trying to get as much work done as possible by tomorrow, since a couple of us want to go to Chicago on Saturday. I NEED this weekend free of pending projects and papers because my birthday is on Sunday, but I'm a the mercy of a couple of my class mates since we have a group work. :/

It has been an awesome experience tho. I thought it was going to be worse, considering I'm in the most Catholic of all catholic colleges (Yay prejudices!). I've met a lot of awesome people too. So.... yeah.

Needless to say, I'm really glad the country is moving forward from the dark ages. PBS covered the basic provisions that heterosexual married couples were getting and gay couples were not. It was quite horrifying, to say the least- most of which being the inability to have access to a wife or husband in the hospital. Of course, there was also the huge, huge financial issue of not being able to file joint taxes, but yeah. It brightened my day, but it came alongside such horrible news. The fact that voter rights have been gutted in order to prevent poorer people and people of color from voting. I really hope that gets fixed somehow, someway. SCOTUS really dropped the ball on that.

In other news, Youtube actually kicked off a "Proud to Love" campaign. I will probably cry at most of the videos, but hey.

This song has also been on the Billboard for a while, and it randomly came up. I did not expect such a powerful message from the dude who wrote "Thrift Shop", but much respect to Mackelmore.

I cut my left index finger open with the serrated blade of a saran wrap box. It hurts really bad.

Most people don't know what a MAC address is, though.

I'm not feeling apathetic today. I had a decent workout, and I think I'll go and weigh myself.

Using my TV as a second monitor. It's very nice, and I can hook my consoles up to it now. :)

I have no idea of what Mac address filtered means besides it's that one part of an IP address you know the one I think something with a router and internets. I just know about hiding the SSID. :O
