The good doctor is once again on the campaign trail and he's been doing a lot better over 2008. In Iowa, he placed 3rd last week (over 5th in 2008) and just this last Tuesday in New Hampshire, he placed 2nd (and almost tripled his votes from last campaign). The momentum is growing for the Revolution, guys.

Here's his speech that got played on all major networks, uninterrupted. For the first time, millions of Americans were able to hear the Doc talk without the bias of the mainstream media in their face. Take a look (he starts around 2:10):

I respect Mr. Paul for sure, but I am worried a bit about his racial platforms. :/ It was brought to my attention recently that his son was saying some stuff about that, and that he had also said some stuff on that front. Though, among the clowns of the repub party and Obama, he's still the best candidate IMO.

Ron has stated time and again that he believes in the rights of individuals, not groups. When you place people in groups, people in government have an incentive to give privileges to certain groups or punish groups unfairly.

However, if you remove that an focus only on the rights of an individual, I believe it becomes more apparent that this philosophy is the most fair out there. For example, an individual has the right to marry another individual. Well, that completely throws away the "gay/straight" rights issue. Another would be "an individual may not harm another individual" would end the whole "male-on-female/female-on-male" disparity of sentencing and stuff.

Dr. Paul has a 30 year record of doing what he says. Hopefully, you weren't listening to all that bullsh*t about his "racist" newletters that the man didn't even write. Plus he put the issue to bed when it first came up -- back in 1992. The media just keeps dragging it out because for once, the people of the United States actually have a chance to make a real change in government with a man who has true principles and is incorruptible.

I mean, they even talk about it here:

Very well said! I thoroughly enjoyed the clip.

I've not been much on keeping up with politics recently from the sheer amount of WTF-ery(Mainly the Michele Bachmann antics, thank goodness she pulled herself from the race.)

I don't think I ever mentioned it, but Ron Paul spoke at my university before I left. I had a school newspaper covering it, but I think that's since been lost since half of my possessions are at home. However, it was a joy to see him talk in person.

I'm Still sticking with Obama. Yeah, he's not great, but then, he inherited a gawdawful mess, and peoples' expectations of him are/were unrealistically high...

I'd rather see some one like Kucinich though. Or Nader, if he just bit the bullet and ran as a Democrat. (It's just a label, man...c'mon.)

You mean the guy who signed the National Defense Authorization Act (only a few weeks ago), a bill that allows the government to throw anyone indefinitely in detention without a trial?

I'm glad people like you can't vot-

Oh wait.

Damn.

Yeah... that's super concerning. It was one thing for him to pet IP/copyright(lol worrying about that in times like these), but the NDAA is absolutely ridiculous and disgusting.

Let's not forget that SOPA and Protect IP are still on-going. If either of them get in Obama's hands, they will probably be signed just as quickly as NDAA. Protect IP goes before the Senate the 24th of this month. And SOPA is postponed for the time being.

The sooner Ron Paul is in office, the better.

Indeed. I don't think I clarified that it was lol-worthy for Obama to be stroking IP/CR, rather than to lol at the prospect of internet censorship and the like. Last I checked the White House says they refuse to back it "as it stands now". Which, doesn't mean too much at all until actual action happens.:/

But you don't understand, Lantis. Obama said he felt really bad about signing that monstrosity into law. HE FEELS BAD.

naw, Japan will invade with giant mechs bearing unicorns and rainbow lazors, Beneto boxes and much kwai goods then We'll all start practicing Jedi-shinto and hold starcraft tournaments to settle disputes instead of actual wars. Also the ratio of super sexy Asian girls will increase at pleasing rates, and anime and gaming cons will bedeclared national holidays!

... Not that I've gotten involved really in politics before, but, ... hmm, perhaps it would be beneficial to our country to lend my vote to Ron Paul, after all. Thanks for the vid, Ix.

You know, it really seems like the Doc is picking up his pace. But he still has yet to win in a state. He can't keep coming in third, you know.

The one thing that seriously disturbs me about this guy is that he wants the US to leave United Nations.

How do you think America would react if another superpower up and left UN one day? "That country is up to something, maximum war alert."

Do you really think the rest of the world wouldn't react similarly? I'm ok (speaking as a Canadian here) with most of what he says, but this one seriously makes me wonder if he has any idea what happens on a world-wide scale when countries make major decisions.. as if he's nearsighted when it comes to political issues. Which, judging from his history in politics, is very much the case.

I'm actually weary of him.

Glad to see you on board, SK. But be sure to register Republican in your state soon so you can vote for him in the primary!

Maine's vote isn't over yet and he's been rapidly closing the gap on Romney, who is in "first" place.

Ron Paul scored his first 1st place victory yesterday in the Virgin Islands!

http://vigop.com/

Quote:
Percentages

384 total cast

112 to Paul (29%) Won one delegate

101 to Romney (26%) Won three delegates plus three RNC member pledge. (Picked up a uncommitted delegate after the balloting for a total of seven.)

23 to Santorm (6%) No delegates

18 to Gingrich (5%) No delegates

130 Uncommitted (34%) Two delegates but one changed to Romney after the vote totals were announced

Of course, expect the media to completely ignore this. The campaign is gonna have to toot the horn about this themselves.

Rick Santorum has dropped out of the race.

The last time it was Ron Paul and Romney head-to-head Romney could only win 60/40, even though the Paul campaign didn't even do any work there (Virginia). Imagine what will happen when they do? :D

Oh, and there's a money bomb happening on 4/15: The In It To Win It Money Bomb!

If you're tired of the way govt is taking our rights, put your money where your mouth is and give as hard as you can to the one man who can start changing it! I'm about 300 bucks away from maxing out my donation cap. Come on guys, get ready to help out.

$5, $10, anything you can spare will help.

Check out the size of the crowds he's getting:

He's not going away and the media won't report it. The Revolution will not be televised.
