Or not. I just bought Princess Debut for the Nintendo DS.

It's one of those games I see everywhere I go. No matter what game store I'm browsing, I see the box for the game, and that cute girl staring at me. Maybe it was the cute face always beaming at me, maybe it was the fact it got a decent review over at IGN. Or maybe both. In any case, it's purchased and being played.

Oddly enough, I rather enjoy it. It has a gameplay similiar to Elite Beat Agents, and has a little dating sim ala Harvest Moon. You play as an ordinary girl, whisked away to a magicial kingdom. You court one of the six princes and learn to ballroom dance, and get ready for the ball 30 days later.

It's a fun way to spend 15 bucks. If you have a little extra cash and an open mind, maybe you'll like it.

Edit: When I first got home with the game, my dad asked me what game I got and I relunctanly showed him. The conversation went something like this:

Dad: What does the girl on the cover do? Fight bad guys?
Me: Actually no, she...ballroom dances.
Dad: Oh my goodness.....

The manliest game I've ever bought is Super Princess Peach. I just enjoy Mario platformers (And Peach has been my favorite Mario character since SMB2)

Yeah Bon, you kinda have a point there. But your game is an RPG that most guys would probably play, either because they're RPG freaks or Atlus fans. Only little girls or brave men will try playing this game.

What's really funny about the whole thing is I love this game. It's part dating sim (ala Harvest Moon), and half Elite Beat Agent gameplay. Since I like both of these gameplay styles, the game is perfectly suited to me. Well, almost. Being that the game is suited for young girls, most of it is easy. Some of the dances are quite challenging however.

All in all, this is quite the entertaining game. It's been more fun than many serious or expensive games I've played on the system. If you go into it with an open mind and modest expectations, I think you'll like it.
