Good find Lantis, this series is one of my faves. The story is just so gripping.

I've been keeping track of the series. And it's seems really good... whoever wrote the plot for it, needs a big pat on the back, a cookie, and many internets.

Though, I'm on ep. 18 and am having a bit of trouble trying to figure out exactly [spoiler]why Kira/Light denounced his death note to Ryuk. I mean, if you get rid of your note, you lose all memory of ever having used it in the first place. So when light said he wasn't Kira... he seriously ment it. What doesn't make sense is this: Why would Kira (Light) want to get rid of his note? I mean, that totally defeats the purpose of what he was trying to do. Rem ran off with Jealous' note and gave it to one of those eight executive guys and Light burried Ryuk's extra one in the ground... so after he denounced it, he would have no clue were to find it. For someone who wants to take control of the word with the power of the note... it seems like a pretty bad idea to get rid of it... even if L was getting close.[/spoiler]

I finished reading the series manga, up to the very end...
and man...
It Rocks!

I never thought a series about psychological intrigue could be that good.
Ah, and Lantis, if the anime is anything like the manga, you'll see how that one turns out...

Oh yeah... I plan to watch it all. ^_^

Anime sucked.

Manga rocked.

I've read the manga a few times now, the first time being at the time it first printed in Japan each week.

The manga was really amazing. There was so much more detail in it than in the anime. The anime moves sooo much faster, though, and a lot of stuff gets thrown out. And in a lot of cases, the impact of certain things was lightened a lot because of that.

I thought the anime was outright disappointing.

Oh really... I'm rather amazed to hear that. I'll take your word for it and see if I can't find the manga.

I have the whole thing translated on my computer.. i can probably create a torrent or something for you.
