Ive always wanted a fancy pants microphone, and after some research, this may be my choice. Can anyone input their two-cents before I decide to get one? Alternatives? reviews?

I'm going to pick one up for sure. Only problem is, I have many hundreds worth of home improvements. My backyard is about three more, one of the xmas presents I am getting my wife is a three hundred dollar security door so we can keep it closed and open the door to enjoy the weather and run-on sentences etc etc.

Back on topic, I think Fay's post summed it up. I have listened to two people do comparisons by switching mic mid conversation and the difference is clear. Clear Eyes.

My microphone just came in. Got it from Wal-Mart, of all places using their ship-to-store feature. I'm surprised it arrived so quickly.

I was listening to my Magcast audio file and realized that the Blue Yeti is pretty damn sensitive. I still love it though. Also, for future reference, I need to make sure I don't speak TOO close to the microphone.
