My birthday was on July 5th, but thanks for the Bday wish anyway, Sk!

This is a very ugly time to be a twenty-something. When I was younger, I remember the nightly news scandalously informing us that mine would be the first generation whose life expectancy would be shorter than our parents'.
Turns out, absolutely everything about our lives is sh*t, compared with what our parents had. America (and, I presume, the rest of the Western world) has been stacked in favor of the wealthiest folk. And when we try to point out that our grandparents could afford to put our parents through college, that we live in a world without entry-level jobs, that to earn a degree we'll need to somehow cover $15-30k per year in tuition and expenses, all while paying our own rent and feeding ourselves...
...when we point out that we're 24 and starving, that we earn too much for welfare but not enough to make ends meet, that we are forced to cohabit out of financial necessity, that our brothers and sisters are returning from bogus wars to a GI bill that won't educate them and a workforce that has nothing to offer, that our politicians are more concerned with building weapons and legislating morality than with maintaining a social safety net, that our interests are not being represented no matter who we vote for...
...we are accused of class warfare, deviance, rabble-rousing, whining.
Somebody in another thread, I can't find it, summed up the Occupy movement as follows:
"sh*t's f*cked up!"
"Yes, it is. What would you like to fix?"
"Everything! Now!"
That's true. We didn't have a goal, or a structure, or any sense of what we were trying to do, except that somebody needed to do something. We ran out of steam, but not before we were met with tear gas in the streets.
But here's the problem: it's not our watch yet. We don't know how to fix this sh*t, because half of us haven't been to college and even the ones who have don't know what to do with what they've learned, except that they're pretty angry about the state of society, and with good reasons.
You guys are supposed to fix it. You're the ones with experience. You were supposed to parent us, and then hand us the reins to a world slightly better than the one you inherited. You were supposed to elevate your best and your brightest to lead us, to teach us, to set an example for us to aspire to.
Instead we get this. We get George Bush, Barack Obama, and Ron Paul. We get a system designed to put us in debt and keep us in debt. We have been screwed out of the kingdom we were promised. We're standing, speechless and without a clue how to proceed, outside the pearly gates, with the keys to a kingdom which was broken into and pillaged while we were still in diapers.
You've killed our friends in countries we know nothing about, deprived us of the overwhelming majority of those opportunities which were available to prior generations, and when we demand some sort of action, we're told, smugly:
"Work harder. Get an education."
I'd love to, if you'd let me.

I finally saw SK's Bioshock Infinite reaction. And I have to say, good job guys. It felt like a regular reviewer video. You might wanna do that more! And I'm sure it took less editing than the PE3 Review.
