So what games that aren't already online do you think should be?

Personally I would have to say Star Ocean: The Second Story.

It already has the characteristic of an online game. And like WoW it has trade skills, BUT LOTS MORE!

What games do you think should be online?

I would own you all. :D

Various tactical RPGs. I'd enjoy playing those online.

Also, it's been said that Smash Bros. Brawl may not be online. Personally I don't know how an online fighting game would work anyway, considering there being a slight lag from Player 1 making a punch, the server finding out about the punch, and the server telling Player 2 about the punch. Player 2 might've also made a move during that time. I've seen it in Mario Kart DS where two people wind up getting an item from the same item box at the same time, and I've seen two people get wiped out from the same banana peel. Could be just me, though, as I've got the slowest of three high-speed internet speeds available from my internet provider ('cause it's the cheapest).

Anyway, here's hoping Brawl will be online.

Devil May Cry...

For Game Informer readers... you know this may be a possiblilty. Maybe at least co-op play.

The Lunar series...

I'm starting to play these games again (other than the atrosis(spelling) DS game.) And thought it would be a good idea if it was online.

It could have a server system where there is one DragonMaster per server and every other character is trying to kill that person. And whoever kills the DragonMaster must go and beat the 4 dragons to become the new DragonMaster.

(Also guys, try to explain WHY you think the game should be online.)

Chrssy wins.

But if it were a MMORPG, people would have to have random generated characters with pre-set voices. It would be strange if EVERY character was Kite. No one would be able to play as Helba, or Orca, or whoever because a multitute of people would want to play that same character.

But as far as the engine of fighting/trading/leveling up? Yeah, it's pretty much seemless.

An online .hack may not come to light. Maybe 3 or for more years later since the article came out a month ago

Ace Combat

It's one of my favorite series since I like jet fighter games. Plus it would be cool to actually have useful people on your squadron instead of getting around 100 kills a mission while the AI gets maybe 5 between all of them. And by having people join factions, and competing to be the best squadron out there, I think it could work.

As for .Hack I think it would lose some of it's appeal being online, though I'm not sure it would do as well here as it does in Japan, since the series itself wasn't too successful here (probably because the whole thing could have been on one disc, since it essentially was). Though of course they could keep the story going by having all the main characters from the game and show be NPCs. Hopefully they wouldn't try to simulate the real world events. Though that would make for an interesting thing to add to the warning label on the game, playing this game may put you in a coma.

I can't really think of any others that either aren't already online, or would not be the same if they were.

I am a big fan of the Lunar series and all, but how would that work as a MMO?

But I agree that dot.HACK should definitely be online, as well. But what if RPG's like Final Fantasy Tactics or La Pucelle were MMO? What do you think of that?

Possible...

But that would take a bit of patience on both people playing...

I had a friend from Conway use a cheat code that allowed you to controll the enemy party on Final Fantasy Tactics. What is awesome about that is during the enemies turn, give the controller to a friend.

Basically, if you take that concept and put a broadband conection to it, you'd have a pretty awesome MMORPG. Of course there would be kinks to work out as in moving around servers and whatnot... but other than that, I thing that's one of the best ideas... next to .Hack
