Square Enix is remaking Seiken Densetsu/Final Fantasy Adventure again for the Vita, and mobile. There was already a remake of it once for GBA called Sword of Mana, but this looks pretty cool, and closer in style to the original game.

I think everyone who has played the original GB game can agree it's one of the best games on the console, and a great game in and of itself, so here's to hoping that this remake is good. (And that there are future remakes of older games *coughFF6cough*)

FFA was truly a great Gameboy game, and Sword of Mana was really good too. I'm surprised I have an excuse to knock the dust off my Vita again.

Why not just make a new Mana game?

Because there hasn't been a good new Mana game since Legend.

* Dawn of Mana was a complete and absolute bomb for good reason.
* Children of Mana was okay, but really did nothing new or special.
* Heroes of Mana just... disappeared.

True this. I love Legend of Mana, but I just kinda gave up on the series after that from the mediocre Mana games they have been putting out- and just gave up on. They have that mobile game coming to Vita in Japan, but eh.

This is exciting news! I do hope for a FFIV DS style remake for FFVI someday!

To anyone who says good graphics are all a game needs to be a hit, I point them towards Dawn of Mana. Throw in a good soundtrack too, but everything else about that game just... ugh! It is a perfect negative example of what every game should be able to answer positively: "Is it fun?" No! It is not!

For those who may not have been keeping up with this, Adventures of Mana did get a mobile release earlier this year while the Vita version was released just last week after plenty of fan demand.

If you enjoyed the original Game Boy version, I cannot recommend this enough.
