First suggestion evar

Perhaps we could make a more Wii-friendly setup for people like me who love viewing sites on the Wii.

First though, an introduction to Wii internet may be required. You can see the whole page of a website in normal mode. Problem is, the text is too small to read. There's a zoom in/out function to help, but zooming poses it's own problem. To read all the text to an article, I must scroll the zoomed camera back and forth to read something.

I'll post an example soon. Actually, look at one of Crythnia's [pirate nut games] posts, and that's a pretty accurate example of Wii-friendly reading.

The viewing resolution of such a site would be 640x480, which is the native resolution of TVs (minus whatever the Wii needs for what it does). And while having something like that would be cool, it would be hard to do, since I'd have to make the site over, using smaller measurements.

Since the volume of people reading something like that would be very low, I'm not inclined to make one, unfortunately.

Yep. The first post I made was done on the Wii. No keyboard support, that's sure sucks.

I can see where Ix is coming from, though. Only me and facts really use this feature. Maybe if enough people request a more Wii-friendly setup, it could happen. It just wouldn't be pratical to do that now.

Not to many of us own the wii. I know I don't have the money right now for one.

I take it the Wii Browser does not include the option to increase text size. Seems like it should given the fact that it's based on Opera, though I guess it could just do a screenshot of the page, but it seems it would be easier to render it normally. It also might help if you have an HDTV, or use component (red green blue cables) or S-Video connection instead of composite (the yellow cable). Won't make the text any bigger but will make it easier to read. I would venture to say that you would have a hard time reading webpages on the PC with TV-OUT, though of course all browser feature the increase text size option, which can mess up layouts but will make the page easier to read on TVs (which are known to have horrible text capabilities, due to their lower resolution and less precise pixels [except for HDTVs because they are essentially big computer monitors]). So the same thing happens when trying to play PC games using the TV-OUT of a computer, the graphics look fine, but the text is largely unreadable, unless it's huge (~20-24px or larger).

Also it looks like what Crythnia did is use a program to type his posts which has a specific line length and will cut off lines are that length (typical are 76 to 80 characters, used for either email, or code). So doing that manually would be very annoying without an option to do so (which does exist in PHP, wordwrap I believe is a function). However it would be largely unnecessary.
