Okay, I have a fairly working game created. (Took forever to figure out how to switch the characters in and out of the party once the game is going.)

I've gathered some things I wanted to discuss with you guys. (I guess you are all really busy cause I've still to see a reply to my other questions...but maybe no one has figured the stuff out yet! ;) )

It seems the monsters level up as you do..?

I loaded template monsters and classes and when i had them fight, they were doing 1 and 0 hp to each other with an equipped weapon. Does anyone know how the formulas for STR, DEF etc work themselves out?

Characters have 16 variables you can set to them and also something called shared variables are available. What and How are some of the ways these can be utilized?

And lets say you set the STR to go up by 25 for a certain class every time it levels. Does this mean that in 4 levels it would be 100? and isnt that the cap? The sample classes are set up that way so its throwing me off.

Thanks for any and all help you guys that are figuring it out first can provide.

No, monsters dont level up with you. This just allows you to use that monster in more than one area. Cuz in monster parties you can set up what level they are.

I think the formulas are literal this time around. So if you have Max (Str - 10) facing Bolpaig (Def - 4), then Max will do 6 to Bolpaig.

Check the variable guide soon.

100 isn't the cap. It's 999.
