The manual has me confused. I've made a lot of the separate pieces, If not all. How do I work the event thingy to have the character start at the beginning etc. I had an easier time with RPGM 1. which sounds weird cause this one is more limited.

Oh ok question 2 now. Actually, I'm even having problems having you turn in an item to an npc and him teaching you a skill when you do that. Could someone PLEASE post an example of how to do that?

I dont understand this mode, event thing. options seem to be missing, like, turn in items etc.

1. In the first post, I don't think I understand. However, under "The World" >> Layout, there's an option to have an event start automatically. Is that what you were looking for?

2. Why would you turn an item into an NPC? But anyway, keep your eyes peeled on the new Variable Guide. I've taught my character a skill, so I'll post that for you later.

I think he meant, how do you turn IN an item to an NPC in exchange for a SKILL

well then you'd have to run a condition to see if you have 'item name', and if so, teach skill, remove 'item name', and make it so you cant get 'item name' from any other ways... otherwise you could get that skill twice, which is pointless...

^right. You can just make it so that the condition in which the NPC gives you the skill is if you had said item. Then "Gain Skill" then "Lose Item" in the event editor. & yes, you should make that item only available once.
