Hi, I was about to post this in the EZBoard forum before I realized it was abandoned months ago, heh heh.

Anyway, in RPG Maker 2, I am trying to create a naval battle minigame, wherein two ships fire their cannons at each other until one sinks. The player uses a vehicle (a ship made in the Building Editor, but I may change it to an Object) and the CPU has an event (using a Building model like the user). I have the hit detection system mostly working, but I am having trouble getting the enemy ship to direct itself toward the user. I can get it to move using Direction Move, but I don't know how to make it move in a useful way. I tried Event Action: To Leader or whatever that command is called, and it didn't work.

Some other information that may be relevant:
-The map being used has a six-cube deep ocean, and the enemy ship Building model was made raised up five cubes so it won't sink to the bottom with the Event: Bypass Objects command.

-The To Leader command doesn't work whether the Party is in the vehicle or not.

Something I just thought of: would the To Leader command work if I used Load Member Info beforehand? If not, is there anything that might help me? Thanks for any help.

(Is there another Music Creation forum somewhere? I was planning on posting a song I made for RPGM2 in the EZBoard forum...)

You could post here I think. Okay You're going to need to know how to use variables. Because you can use variabels and event move to direct your enemy to the party.

Thank you for the advice, but I discovered a different method that satisfies my goals. I found that if I make the map an all-land one, and then raise the sea level, I get the effect I want.
