Visual effects and Weapons

I'm wondering how do you set the magic to the character and is it possible to set it to the weapon?

Characters can have specific magic attacks, but I don't think it's possible to set it to the weapon.

So there are not magical weapons in the game system? (like +1 to ice weak creatures)

Actually, you can have that, but you can't have a Fire Sword shoot flames, graphically, at enemies.
