Yes, I'm talking about RPG Maker 3. Which is the second one to release for the PS2.

No, that's not what I meant. I was in a hurry earlier, but now I have time. So...

1. Add an second mode to the event you have.
2. Leave the second mode blank.
3. In the first mode, put the event code that you want to happen.
4. As the last line in the event code, change the mode of the current event to the second mode.

Now test it. Should work.

So the 40 gig harddrive only lets the game load faster? huh! So where does all your work get stored? Does the harddrive improve the elapsed time between cut scenes or chapter changes?

I read the link Ixzion posted to me about Max Drive, so please break this down for me:
I make a game.
I use Max Drive to compress it
It goes _______________________
where I then upload it here as a submission in a zip format?

Is there a way to import additional images, textures, and sounds?

Do I need to use any particular USB Keyboard and mouse?

Ok, I'm off now to go pillage the rest of this forum. I don't have the game yet but I intend to have it by my birthday (Nov 15th)

You use the memory card to store your work. The hard drive makes everything in the game load faster, but if a user doesn't have one, then they don't see the difference. However, the game doesn't load that slowly to begin with. Maybe a 1-2 second pause between transitions.

Your dark blue part is correct.

There's no way to import any images, textures or sounds.

A USB keyboard will work. And work beautifully. However, there is no mouse support.

And happy early birthday, since I might forget. :p

Ah the blue part has a huge blank. Once I plug Max wire into my PS2 and "crush" the file as Valkysas wrote - how do I get it to where others can use it? Since V wrote MaxWire is a Flash drive, I guess I upload it into my PC and bring it here?

Thanks for replying to all this. Normally when I go to a forum, it takes a few days to get a reply.

Oh, okay. I didn't catch that.

You'll need to upload it into your PC and bring it here, just like your surmised.

And don't be afraid to jump into any topic that might interest you, btw. That's what everyone else does. :p

Ok, good! I came up with another idea just now.
If a friend of mine has RPG maker3 and a PS2, can I compress my finished game with MaxDrive onto a PS2 memory card to give to her so she can play my game at her house and help trouble shoot it?

Absolutely. And like you said, she must have RM3.

Awesome Sauce

Ok, So when I get RPG 3, also purchase (eventually) a MaxDrive for exporting, a USB keyboard for the PS2, and bigger memory cards from Sony.

It's a shame you can't import extra textures, sounds, and images, but I see that coming in the PS3. :XD It'll rawk!

I definately won't be making a Silent Hill game yet, but at least my story telling skills will be put to the test.
Will you be creating a new FAQ for just the game for new users or potential buyers?

Well, you're generally right, but you can't order bigger memory cards from Sony. I'm talking about the standard 8MB PS2 cards. Also, if you currently have a USB keyboard, you can use it with the PS2 already. Otherwise, you're correct.

An FAQ, huh? It's funny you should mention that, but what I have in-store is a secret. When Issue 2.3 comes out, you'll see. ;)

You have to plug it into the usb ports on the front of your PS2.

What kind of keyboard are you using? We know the Dell, HP, and Logitech all work with it...you sure the plug is firmly into place? If so, then I wonder if there are a few brands that are def. not compatible with the PS2... ::ponders::
