Starting today, I'm launching a new volunteer-initiative called 1T5R.

This is an optional program that will help the Mag grow.

Here's what happens: Each person on the Mag should make 1 new thread each day for 1 whole week. Then, everyone should make sure that each new thread gets 5 replies, at least.

We all know how it feels when your topic doesn't get any comments. Let's try to change that and foster new discussion and interest.

this isnt a good idea at all. its much better to have no reply in a topic then to have 5 replies that are totally garbage, and are being posted just for the sake of having 5 replies.

most of us reply to posts that we feel deserves a reply or that interests us, otherwise we dont bother.

I think what Ix was saying is to try and exert yourself to make a more meanignful reply to a topic you would have normally not. Maybe something you say could spark a conversation that otherwise wouldn't have happened.

This is in no way suggesting spam.

But an effort to respond to someone's post is greatly encouraged.

I'll do my best. But let it be known, I'd prefer no replies than a spam reply to any topic I've ever made or will make.

Really....I know not this OW/Feros person that has posted here. And after saying that I feel half spammy.

So I'll say that I think trying to respond to topics is a good idea....not necessarily making 1 everyday is good...but....more activity is definitely welcome.

Perhaps one can look at this from a different angle.
If one is to post sensible replies instead of "garbage" as karr puts it, then it seems to me that it would behoove those making the topics to make them topics worthy of intelligent response.

The again, it's that kind of logic that is the reason Communism failed... >_>
