Both of you:

Having active and passionate members on the board is wonderful, but there is a line between active participating and spamage. I'm sure Kitty that it is great to have a new person as gung-ho about posting as you are, but, once again, that isn't what this board is about. BQ, in the short time you have been actively posting the amount of spam has skyrocketed, now in Amy Rose's Palace that is marginally ok, but it is most definitly not appreciated in the Chat forum. Double posting is also not appreciated, as it is easy to edit your posts. And calling members mean names like "stupidhead" doesn't promote good community. This board isn't about "Evil Queen Conquers" or getting huge post counts it's about RPGMaker.

We respect you and your right to be here, so please try to respect the boards rules/ community members and cool it down.

This has been a formal warning, and if I keep coming on to see cascades of new posts with little content I'll be borrowing Amy's hammer for a bit.

Gotta say, i agree...

the thing is; posting here is just like talking normally to people you know. if you spam them, they'll just get confused. it is also the worst way to try and be a mod EVER. not that im an authority on the subject or anything. i was just trying to show support for what sumisem said. ^_^

I was very shy when I first came on the boards. I was not the type to step on anyones toes. I'm still not. I slowly tried to get to know everyone. And I do respect the ones who came before me. Its not nice to pop in and pertend that you own the joint.

I still have a love for making games on the RPGmaker. It just seems like I have more time to chat with friends in the hammer then "overloading" my brain with ideas with the game.

I beleave Regal made a request regarding going off into left field on topics in chat. I will at least try to stay on topic even if it kills me.

'spam' is where you post something totally devoid of content, like for instance;

'yea i think so too'

or;

'Lantis ur so cool and awesome'

its stuff that doesnt really SAY anything. its easy to do, too. traditionally there has always been one thread in the mag that allows it.... well, allows a bit of it. the Off Topic Thread.

if you want to say something, try and further the conversation. try and talk about the other side of the issue. say WHY you think what you think, and it should be fine.

generally, two or more thoughts to a post is a good idea too.

just my own ideas, really. i daresay someone else has a better description. (Also, if you spell and punctuate something properly, people tend to react better to it. that goes for mods as well as the rest of us lowly maggots)

I see.Now i truly get what spamming is, looks like if i want to spam i can only do it on Amy Rose's place then.And i have to be carefull and be on a lookout for Sumisem^^.

We consider message that have little value in the conversation to be considered Spam.

Example 1. The Chat boards aren't really for chat they are for discussion. Posts like this one arn't really discussing or contributing anything to the topic, it's just agreeing.

Example 2. Double posting This topic is a good example.

Example 3. Flooding: refer to the attached picture. If you have something useful to say in each topic that's great. But if you don't know whats going on which happens a lot in Amy's Palace, or you don't have something useful to say - just don't say anything.

This is spam. Because it isn't really all that useful.

This is an Ok type of relatively useless post because it is at least serving the purpose of being funny, and it brings something new to the conversation.

Article 2 - Amy Rose's Palace

This forum is for spam. But not over spam. Flooding will result in a repeat of history where Amy came and gave us all the smackdown. You can see the remains of that battle in Amy Rose's Spam Hammer Archives. Even the spam forum can die of being too spammy.

Okay, so the point is that i shouldn't spam on other forums but spam on Amy Rose's Palce but not over flooding it and to that addition you're taking Regal's side, and which is not fair because i get the spam example massages.The next is that is should follow Regals example, correct Sumisem?
