Since R/E we've been discussing what positions we would like filled and who exactly would do well in that area. We've finally come up with a game plan.

This thread will serve two purposes. First, for the people we suggest for each position to accept it. And then secondly, for everyone else to voice their opinion of said people and their new positions. Your opinion is just as important as the position itself, so please let us know what you think.

Super Moderator - Stythe (accepted)

RPG Maker Series Dev. and Help (RMDH) Moderator - Draygone (accepted)

General Discussion Moderator - ShadowFox1001 (accepted)

Creativity+++ Moderator - Kajakfaucon (accepted)

Again, your opinion is vital here. The Mag is for all of you, so we want to be sure that we are taking it in the right direction. And even if you are fine with this line-up, and a problem comes up later down the line... let me know as soon as possible. I'll be sure to make sure it gets taken care of. One method we are going to start implementing is that either monthly or bi-monthly... Ix, Feros, and I will sit down and review the progress of the Mag and its staff. If there have been issues with a Mod, we will talk about it and have the position moved to someone else who might better fit the bill. Your PM's will have a huge part in that. So, for example: If someone has a problem with how ShadowFox (not picking on you, love you man) is running GD, you tell me about it... and when we get together to review the Mag, I'll bring it up. If the offense wasn't horrible, we'll talk to him about it and make sure he's aware of the situation. If worse, he'll have the position taken and I'll take care of GD till we find a person do mod it.

Then there's still the matter of Editors and Contributors. Anyone is welcome for either position. The differences between them are that Editors write articles for the Mag on a normal basis while Contributors submit when they can. Editors however, have access to the staff forums. Though Editors will be looked at just like we will the Mods. If need be, Editors will be turned into Contributors.

If there are any other questions, feel free to ask.

This hurts. :(

I have no objections, considering I did get the job and no one else stepped up to want the position of GD mod (I guess because it takes work). The other guys are cool and I think they'll be fine.

That seems like a really good line-up to me.

I'm relieved to see that Draygone is the moderator for 'RPG Maker Series Dev. and Help (RMDH) Moderator', as far as game developments go, he looks to be the best for that position.

I think that Kajakfaucon is good for 'Creativity+++', because he seems to be the one most concerned for this area. It could really use a person like him.

I think Stythe was a super moderator before I joined the Mag, so its cool to see him in that kind of position again.

Also, as far as I know, ShadowFox1001 was always a moderator too, so its good to see people in these positions that know what they're doing.

Is this some type of Mag renaissance or something? :P

Yes, I accept, since I asked for the position to begin with. :P

Seeing as how I do not frequent the mag much, I guess I just have a question...does Shadowfox even contribute anything besides misogynist, sexist comments and profanity? That's all I've really ever heard from him (besides whining that his ego was being bruised by (initially) taking the mod position away from him).

Obviously, you guys have better judgment on this than I do, but I don't see why his ego needs to be stroked by giving him the position.

Meh...just my two cents.

I hope you realize that whole "whining" thing was just a joke. I didn't really care if I didn't have the position of super mod or not. If I didn't get GD mod this time around, no big deal. And misogynist and sexist comments? I'm joking more often than not. Profanity? Yeah, I cuss a lot and don't use the nicest language, but it's part of my personality. You take me too seriously, but who doesn't these days?

See the thing about ShadowFox1001 or any other Mod is that when they are functioning as a mod they need to sort of be customer oriented, right? So if any mod does the job and is friendly, helpful, etc. then I have no problem. If they are going to bring attitude to the mod position, whoever that may be, I think that is not a good thing.

Also, what happened to the old mods for some of these positions? I thought the point was reducing privleges, not taking them away from one and giving them to another.

Whenever a mod or smod treats you that way, drop me a line. Heh, I would also like to mention that isn't customer service for making up for when a customer isn't satisfied with something they've paid for? Breaking the rules is like voiding warranty. Customers service isn't really going to be as helpful. But I do at least thing that it would be a good idea for more professionalism concerning these matters.

The number of mods and smods have drastically been reduced... it was bound to happen. We aren't the biggest board on the net, and we had enough 'staff' to run a board that'll have 300 people logged in at a single time.

The only person that had their possition lost and given to someone else was Regal... which Kajak will now be running, well... if he'd ever post.

Heh, yeah... and we know how much SHE'S been around.

¬_¬

Honestly, even if she kept the possition... this bi-monthly (or as needed) meetings would probably result in her losing it anyway to go to someone who's around a bit more. Not that she was a bad mod... actually, she was really good. Actually, whenver she'd get on to someone or lock a topic, she was usually really funny about it... which I liked.

Anyway, everyone's accepted into their possitions. I want to hold off on actually putting them in place till this weekend to try and give everyone like Perversion and Bo time to ask questions. I'd like for everyone to be okay with the line-up before we go on.
