Merry Christmas everybody. What are you guys doing today? Anything special?

I'll be going over to my parents house in the morning (probably around nine or so) and then we're going over to a good friend's house for Christmas lunch.

My mom is off volunteering at the jail and going to midnight mass. We're having 9 or so people that I don't really know over tommorow for dinner. :S (O great chinchilla in the sky, help me be brave and sociable?)

What's wrong with capitalizing christ in christmas?

I guess it's an emphasis on the Christ portion of the holiday?

Well I guess that would depend on how many people here aren't Christian. So technically the PC way is Happy Holidays, though I don't really care either way. He's only the reason for the season for those that believe in him, though I doubt it would be that offensive to any one else, and really shouldn't be.

Well my family typically does all the Christmas stuff on Christmas Eve. We still have Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, but present and stuff have typically been done on Christmas Eve. Of course the day after Christmas I'll be hanging out with a friend I haven't seen in a year as he is on shore leave from the Navy for a couple of weeks.

Also no extra people at my house, as my family doesn't really talk to each other for various reasons, so I'm used to it just being my immediate family.

Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I'm getting ready to go to my brother's house for Christmas dinner. My nephew and his wife are visiting from Texas, and I haven't seen him in over 8 years. I have never met his wife. Good food & good company.
