Ahhh! My ear!

You know how everyone has that ringing in their ears? Well, for some reason, one of those ears has decided to ring louder than usual. I can't understand why. I looked on google and found the new word for the day

Tinnitus

Supposedly it can come from a number of sources. But the thing is, the ringing just started up as I was going to bed last night. Still here in the morning, gonna see if it goes away today or tomorrow.

Anyone else have this problem?

happens to me every once in a while... Did you hear a loud noise this morning or last night?

If it doesn't go away in about an hour or two get it checked out.

Probably. Staying home by the computer for hours is just unhealthy, you could have a lot of problems more serious than that. Try stopping and getting 10-15 minutes of rest every hour of computer.

You kidding? It takes longer than that to read new posts at the Pavilion if you miss a day. And taking a 15-minute break means the account will time out and you'll be left in the dark figuring out what you haven't read, yet.

I have mild tinnitus, I've had it as long as I can remember.

It's mostly like an overly loud tuning fork most of the time, but on occasion it's closer to being in the bell tower at Notre Dame.

Some people have it so intense they end up committing suicide, as there is no cure, at least not consistent ones (there are forms of massage therapy and physical therapy that can occasionally get lucky).

So, you mean that checking the boards is more important than your health?

;)

You should talk to a drug store. I think theres things over the counter for that. If not ask your doc. I don't think its your computer. My mother has that problem.
And shes never on the computer.

Had my mother (don't laugh) suggest sodium was the problem. I do eat a lot, so I tried that and presto! Back to normal. So remember, don't get lots of sodium

Yep. No problem.

I do eat quite a lot of sodium, so it's no surprise the ringing was there. So, I simply ate less salt, and now I'm back to my merry self! :)

That ringing in the ears can be very annoying, so hopefully your mom will get better soon, like me.
