On a whim, I decided to scan RPG Maker 1's manual. I've always felt the site was incomplete without it, especially since people come around mentioning that their game didn't come with the instruction booklet. Let me tell you, I know why no one's felt like scanning it before:

It's over 100 pages! What an endurance match. But, I have finished what hasn't been done in the last 8 years since its inception. The goods are in the Game Vault under RM1's Guides section.

Awesome. Actually, if you use RM1 and haven't read it in full, do so. There are things in that book that can make many games I've played here better, but I bet are sections just kind of skimmed over or over-looked.

Well, all of the first book and then up to like 30 of the second. Because after that, it's just freaking Anime Maker. Use RPGC instead, for the love of all that is holy.

the book is redundant and wrong since better coverage can be found throughout the site as well as some of the stuff in it is wrong due to last minute changes. either way at least we can say we got it.

I noticed too that it is wrong in some places (like maybe the music list?), but I don't think it had that many mistakes. Do you?

At first the book did seem redundant, but I thought that it was more so that it simply repeated every description for every different type (character skill, monster skill, item effect, etc.). Am I wrong about that?
