So, you want to know about leveling up? You start with 0 experience (xp) and you gain experience by defeating monsters. Experience may also be given for completing certain tasks. The experience chart is here:

Think of level as a 2 digit number from 01 to 99 (plus level 100 there to finish it off). The first digit is on the left, and the second digit is on the top. You need the amount of experience listed to reach the level it is listed for. For example, you have to get 1830 experience to reach level 32, and 9660 for level 47. Experience carries over from level to level, so after you reach 1830 experience for level 32, you only need an additional 270 experience to reach level 33.

Upon leveling up, you adjust your stats. First by your class (listed in the getting started guide), then by this chart here:

So, when you make it to level 2, you add those bonuses to your stats as listed. For example, if you were to be level 32 and gain a level becoming 33, you gain +8 +6 +6 +5 +5 +4 +4 +6 +4. The last adjustment is made by selecting it yourself. From level 2-10, you gain +5 character points, from level 11-30 you gain +10 character points, from level 31-40 you gain +15 points, from level 41+ you gain +20 points. You don't have to spend these at level up, but cannot spend them in the middle of a battle. There is also no limit to how many you can have. The cost of the stats stays the same over all levels.

Stat Costs for Character points

HP - 3
MP - 4
SP - 4
Accuracy - 4
Attack - 5
Defense - 8
Intelligence - 6
Agility - 4
Magic Defense - 5

In addition, white and black wizards as well as psionics, gain their level in spell creation points per level. For example, at level 12 a wizard will gain 12 spell creation points. Keep in mind that you may not hold more than your intelligence in spell creation points. Blue wizards obtain spells in other ways.
