What if there was a game where you had 4 people, each with proficiency in different fields, and on each mission, there are certain objectives.

You can choose which member to send where. You can send any one you want, but the chance of them failing to accomplish the task is greater if it's more outside their field.

So the game is a bunch of scenarios with you trying to save people from the Evil Power by delegating tasks successfully.

I think this could be a really fun game.

I like it.

This is the kind of a game idea I made up at one point.

And it could cover a wide range of topics, from political delegation to rescue missions to something as simple as buying a TV. The ideas you could come up with this system is unlimited.

I'd maybe delegate it to teams of 2 because it could be repetitive if either the sniper went to the obvious pro-sniper areas and the shotgun guy goes to obvious pro-shotgun areas or the engineer goes to obvious pro-engineer areas while the medic goes to obvious pro-medic areas.

Now if you are saying that the areas won't be obvious, it could be problematic if the sniper gets to a certain point where he now finds out he really needed to be a shotgunner. Maybe if you have teams of 2 out of 12 potential classes?

Am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

Hmm, sounds fun.

Terrorists win

Ahem. In all seriousness, how would the fail/succeed thing work?

Yeah, I've had this idea a few months ago but it was with over-the-top villains and crazy scenarios.

Good idea though!

Yeah, the two-man teams thing would probably work a lot better than sending one, since it'd be apparent who to send where.

Perhaps an in-between part where you can train x/y trooper and enhance skills would be nice.

The fail/succeed thing could be determined by chance. That's how real rescues work. How would it fit into the game? That would be something to think about.
