What to Look For

This is where you make your viddler playlists.

After choosing the "List" vidget and editing your Playlist, you will see embed code.

The bolded/underlined part will be what you need to put in for the Playlist #.

So I updated all my LPs with them and they look real pimping. I'm glad you pointed this out to us, Myoky. What's really cool now is after you uploaded a video, you can just go in to the vidget and add the video to the playlist... and that's it. It'll be on the playlist here at the Mag too. And it looks much much better than the hyperlinks too.

Now, due to the nature of BB code, a lot of options that you can make with the vidget tools have been preset here. Screen size, format, and all that is pretty much hard coded in no matter what you change in the vidget. But it shouldn't be a problem. Ix and I found this layout to work the best anyways. Besides, if you don't like it, you can always just go back to using links.

I'll have to see how you guys handle this feature. Considering most of mine go into the same topic, I'm not sure how I'd best make use of this.

I'll be setting mine up sometime soon hopefully. I'm so glad that I found the vidgets thing and that you guys got some new BBC to support it.

Apparently, if you use the flashblock add on for firefox, the player won't show at all. Even when you make it unblock it. So I had to disable the add on. No big.

Or you can add the mag to flashblock's white list.

Just an FYI, there's an easier way to grab that little bit of code for the Viddlerlist command. It's sitting in plain view in the URL.

In the URL, when you create the playlist, you can see right at the end the three little numbers that the playlist code has. So rather than searching through all that code, just take the easily-located number in the URL.

However, I've found that there's an issue with putting more than one Vidget on the same page. I asked in the Viddler forums about it:

Syn pointed out to me that Viddler changed their embed codes. The playlist number that Viddler's embed code gives appears to be in hex or something, now. Old playlists in the forums are working fine, but it's impossible to post new playlists.

I had to add another parameter to this code's code that would take into account all the videos that are in a playlist. You shouldn't have to change any others, I think.
